A workshop on authenticity and compassion in relationships.
Courageous Relating is a full day experience designed to offer deep insight into relationships with others. With a strong focus on respect for all relationship styles, we will cover such topics as compassionate communication, boundaries, rules and agreements, negotiating consent, and authenticity. Exercises designed to understand trauma, deconstruct the shadow and navigate relationships will give participants the opportunity to learn the best practices in relating and start putting them to use.

About the Facilitators:
Erin Macri is a physical therapist and PhD candidate who has been a public speaker and educator for over 15 years. She has a strong passion for community building and operates within a framework of integrity and compassionate communication. Her husband Jaia Kyddis a community leader in Vancouver, organizing events such as Commercial Drive Car Free Days, Intention gatherings, and local Burning Man related events. Through his conscious poetry, songwriting and performing he seeks to raise community cohesion.
Together, Erin and Jaia see relationships of all kinds as a daily spiritual practice. They started offering their workshops on compersion and open relating in response to requests from their community to share lessons they have learned along their journeys into a new paradigm of loving.
Mel Mariposa is a relationship coach, and the author of the blog, Polysingleish. She is a queer, polyamorous relationship anarchist, and an advocate for consent culture. With over sixteen years of experience teaching and facilitating classes and workshops, through her practice Radical Relationship Coaching she helps individuals discover new dimensions of their relationships to themselves, and the people in their lives.
Mel, Erin, and Jaia came together in friendship through their shared love of community, and are excited to share their first collaborative offering here in Vancouver.
